Test Ride with Porsche 991 GT3 RS 2018

There’s a danger of being overcome of the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS. For many years the default choice for fans of hardcore road and trackday cars, successive generations of Weissach-Flacht’s most celebrated sportscar have defined the genre and dominated all vehicle dynamics tests. Much to the dismay of rival car makers, Porsche has not sat on its laurels: the evidence being the scant three years between the introduction of the first 991-generation GT3 RS – a car which moved the game on in every respect – and the arrival of this, the second 991-generation GT3 RS.

Porsche 964 Jubi IG Meeting - PEC Hockenheim FrühSchicht Event

The Porsche 964 "Jubi" Jubiläumsmodell, also known as the "30 Jahre 911" or "Jubi," is a special and rare edition of the Porsche 964 model. It was presented by Porsche in March 1993 at the Geneva Motor Show to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Porsche 911. The option code is M096. The European 964 Jubi IG held it's 2023 anniversary event at Landau (Platinum, Germany). Their " Pfalz Ausfahrt" started at Landau and ended at PEC Hockenheim enriching the PEC FrühSchicht Cars and Coffee Event on 27th of June 2023 with another 26 Porsche 964 cars, most of them in Viola Met. colour. Porsche Track Day Leipzig/15

Am Wochenende des 15./16. Juni hatte ich die einzigartige Gelegenheit, an einem privat organisierten Track Day mit Porsche Begeisterten aus ganz Deutschland teilzunehmen. Das Event fand auf der Porsche Formel 1 Strecke im Porsche Werk Leipzig statt und wurde von der Porsche Classic und der Porsche Sport Driving School unterstützt. Es kamen ca. 30 Teams mit optimal präparierten Porsche Sport- und Rennwagen der Ära  der luftgekühlten Boxermotoren zusammen, um die historischen Wagen vom Schlage eines Porsche 356 Carrera,  904 GTS oder 911 Carrera 2.7 RS artgerecht zu bewegen. Dazu bietet der ca. 3 km lange Rennkurs im Porsche Werk Leipzig hervorragende  Bedingungen. Cork Screw, Karussell, Loew-Kurve oder Bus-Stop sind die Insiderbezeichnungen für Kurven berühmter Rennstrecken, die Adrenalin pur versprechen.
